So,As of last week the bounty for the Aug.3 X mod show @ NAPA stood @$503.00 to anyone who could beat J.R Bonesteel...
Over the weekend...couple people have stepped up,
"The Evil Toymaker"J.R. Baxter(BaxterBuilt) has added $100.00 to the bounty.
With nearly 1/3 of the local X mods running his shocks,J.R. felt it would be a good way to show his appreciation for all of the local racers who use his stuff.
...Now,the cool thing is anyone is eligible for the added bounty,not just a BaxterBuilt equipped car.
Baxter says he should have Kevin Mcdonald's car re-clipped and back together for the aug. 3.race.
So,that should add even more fuel to the fire.
Also,last night Royal Jones gave me $50.00 to add bounty.
He's been following this deal since it's inception&wanted to contribute.
Figured we could count on Royal.
I spent some time time with Sherman Barnett last night as well,Bonesteel& I gave him a bounty poster& he kinda gave us that look like...
Hmmm,may have to do something...again.
We shall see
He's been following this deal pretty closely and actually wanted me to call him after the X mod main last week,to see if anyone collected the bounty.
...guy's a REAL race fan.
So,as of now...the Bounty stands at $653.00 to anyone who can outrun Bonesteel.
With the extra off week,NAPA&Cruces X mods will be running on the same weekends...so,basically looks like our locals are the one's who are gonna be Bounty hunting.(MAYBE..lol.)
All of a sudden this deal has gotten traction again,should be interesting to see who else steps up in the next couple weeks.
And what other cars/drivers come out of the woodwork to do the bounty thing.
