I planned on talking with Royal this weekend when I'm down there racing.
As it stands,
The only rule change will be a purpose built
low dollar restrictor plate that's already in production.
The whole hogged out "soup bowl" Rochester thing was getting out of control.
So basically...in order to negate the advantages(and expense) of a Norm built carb
...they're going to a one size fits for everyone restrictor plate.
The plate is being manufactered in Tucson and will have a special anodizing in order to prevent tampering.
I'm hearing they should be available shortly.
Everyone that I've talked to thinks it's a great idea, and will even up the competition even more.
