The X mod/ssm/nsm shootouts are the trending deal right now...
Cruces $2500.00 to win...following weekend,
$5000.00 to win El paso, followed by $3k to win in Tucson.

A while back, when Mac McCutcheon was running Tularosa he had a X/ssm race.
Somehow managed to get it sanctioned by both USRA&imca.Full early season point show for both.
...the EP/LC guys kinda stole the show.
Few butt hurt racers made it the first&last...til now.
Not sure what's winning in carlsbad&eunice...
But Amarillo & Lubbock are chock full of Donnie Thomas powered Biscuit built ssm's.
And those those things are friggin'fast (and pricey).
Be interesting to see how many Southern X mods you get...with the fall nationals beginning the following Thurs.
