There have been some questions asked and concerns raised over the racing format for this weekend's upcoming West Texas Shootout. The first night, all classes will pill draw for line up for heat races. X-mods will be awarded passing points in the heat race, to determine the line up for the Main Event. The top 8 in passing points will redraw. The rest of the line up will be determined by passing points from the heat races from highest to lowest. Street Stocks and Legends will do a pill draw for initial heat race line ups. There will be an inversion from the heat race to the main event, to be determined the night of the race. On the Saturday, the points from Friday's main event will lock in the Top 8 for X Mods only. The highest in points from Friday night will pull a pill either 1,4, or 8. This will determine if the Main on Saturday is straight up, we invert 4, or we invert 8 cars. All drivers who are not in the Top 8 from the previous night, will pill draw on Saturday for heat races, and possible B Mains. Legends and Street Stocks will run 2 complete shows. The format each night will be the same. Pill draw for heat races, inversion to be determined the night of the race. If there are any questions, please feel free to give us a call.
