According to scuttlebutt, 4 out of the top 5 that were in last nights West Texas Shootout and were teched by a "particular" tech team,in a roped off area by their trailer, were deemed... illegal.

Some because of engines in excess of 12:1. Cubic inch exceeding 360 while others because of "aftermarket" HOLLEY carb parts.

Supposedly all have been reinstated except for one, that was a high compression engine, whom requested that they be given the opportunity to remove their cylinder heads for an old-fashioned "visual" inspection. Others removed oil pan for visual inspection as well.

There will be a different Tech team in place for tonight......supposedly.
