Just a short note.

Several new cars and folks moving up in divisions. The sprint cars had Jesse Baker trying out a new wing sprint for the Richardsons but numbered with Bo Bakers old #22. J R Bonesteel was out with his sprinter purchased from Tom Ball, we shall see if this X Mod hotshoe can get it done in the sprint division. Nick Rael was out with a new paint scheme, the #26 and #29 sprinters also were out.

The X Mods had the most cars out. Several new cars, Mychal Lucero, Anthony Sandoval (from Cruisers), Mike Oneal with his new coil over car. We hear Cody Sanchez has his old leaf spring car and hopes to be out mid season. Bill Lynch #33 was there with his beautiful Scotty Lynch (Visual Noise) wrap. Bill had a ride along the top of the back wall that gave us a scare, but he was ok and the car not too badly damaged, he will be back. Squeeky Mendoza was out with his #50, and we saw the return of #57 Don Duffle from Edgewood. Andrew Fanning had out a new to him X Mod and looked and sounded fast. Andrew moves up from the Street Stock ranks.

Only one A Mod #58 of Clint Miller. Ok guys were are the rest of the A mods? I saw #05 of Donald Clinger today at Budlong Motorsports and the car sounded gooooood.

The Cruisers had Richard Answorth #25 returning after a several year layoff. He used to run in the Hobby class at Duke City. Richard looked like he still has the stuff and the car was one of the best looking one out. (We still miss Madison Conrad and her beautiful #76) Josh Thornbury #7M was out and looked strong. #26 of Jeff and #29 of Fraizer were also out. It looked like one of the Hurleys had a new car, but I didn't get to talk to them so, no details.

Cheyanna Yeats has her #15 Street Stock out and she looked very fast. Casey Gossett's #11 has been sold and is now #114, sorry no name on the driver yet.

It looks like the start of another fun season of dirt track racing at Sandia Speedway. Next practice day is 3/20/16 which is a Sunday from 11am to 3pm. Get those cars out and wring the bugs out. First official race for the track is April 2
