What a great night of racing on The Dirt Track @ NAPA Speedway tonight. 92 cars checked in and 91 took the green flag. The track was in nearly perfect shape and held up all night. The only glitch was another WIND & DUST Storm during the early part of the show. The X-Mods started 20 cars and ran their main event without a single yellow flag. Bill Mitchell was trying hard to make 4 in a row with the NMMRA Sprints but got upside down with 5 laps to go while running 3rd. Here are the top 3 in all classes, a full report to come late tomorrow afternoon or evening.
NMMRA Sprints 1st - #45 Jason Grady out of Farmington, N.M. 2nd - #6 Robert Marfia out of Rio Rancho, N.M. 3rd - #4X Cody Mansfield out of Albuquerque, N.M.
Yes, Unofficially #28 Skimmer Leathem was the top finishing X-Mod. I don't think this one race was indicative of what some of the X-Mods are capable of doing. Last night was a somewhat bizzar night for weird issues. Most of the carnage you speak of was mechancial not wrecks. I thought all drivers in all divisions did a great job.
