Brutality in the Hornets, say it ain't so

A great night of Sportsmanship took a dip when the #7 Blue front wheel drive car attacked the defenseless #95 Red Front wheel drive car in turn #3, that was real Cool on your part Dude, maybe giving up Smoking was not a good idea. Not seeing JR finish his second straight Main was a downer but seeing our buddy Mychal come in 3rd was cool. I had to wait for the Sprints to get over with so I could meet & Greet in the Pit's but most of the A-Mod's & X-Mods were gone. Just in case NAPA Speedway is reading this, The X-Mod's have replaced the Sprints as the main attraction, a little less than half the stands emptied after the X-Mod main, maybe next time the X-Mod's could finish the show and give JR more time to find what keeps his car from finishing a race, Just say'n!

Too bad they left, they missed Jesse Baker kicking some serious a$$.
Thought the program order was good, seems standard with dirt tracks.

And it was over close to 10:00pm, 7 classes completed, NAPA did a great job.

Did I miss something, or did just about every Main event winner come from the Front Row! Is that racing? just sayin...

The track was wide enough for 4 cars, just sayin',,,,,

There was more than the usual yellows and traffic in the x-mods and the sprints,,, just sayin' again.

It was anybodys race. Just stating.

That is why I lost interest in the Big money shows, guys winning $5,000-$10,000 to win and not have to pass a single car!

I remember when the points leaders started in the back at Speedway.
Now its all based on the heats and the pill draw (not sure about all classes though). For the sprint cars they earn passing points in the heats good towards the main start position. Jesse started in the back of his heat, and I believe the 5 sport mod started towards the rear (correct me if I am wrong), so I give these guys the credit. Although the 5 car was legally able to run sport mod tires which are a softer compound with a better tread pattern. (didn't look, just what I heard).
I have seen shows where they start both in the front of the heats and feature, and you are right,,, it sucks when they win especially when they have little or no yellow flags on a one groove track.

Thats why I hate dry tracks so much.

Is that racing? just sayin...

I don't know what your definition of racing is but mine is: who wins first is cool but I like to watch the battles for the other spots, I like door to door Paint trading racing, I love seeing the skill doing clean passes and marvel at how some people simply drive right through other driver's like Boelter did in the Hornets with being DQed, Yes, when Cain went in front, when Tenski & J. Baker went in front, the race was technically over for first, but the drama was for the other spots. The only type of racing I have ever hated was when the Outlaws came to HHS, for fear of damaging their cars, they were all happy to see Kinser take the win as if it was scripted, zero passing, 1 line racing is not racing, but last night was definitely racing, at least too me.
