So El Paso Speedway Park is doing a $5,000 to win X-Mod Vs. Southern Sport Mod race, Uranium Capitol Speedway is doing a $1,000 to win X-mod Vs. Southern Sport Mod race so why is Napa Speedway in ABQ not doing a big X-Mod or X-Mod Vs. Southern Sport Mod race? Let's see $500 to win drew 30+ cars would a $1000 draw 60+? ABQ is centrally located and could draw cars from all four corners of New Mexico and possibly out of state cars as well much easier than El Paso could. So I ask would it be possible to draw 100 cars to Napa for $2,500 to win? I think it would be, as long as the big race mentality was used, you know pay to start the feature and possibly the B-main as well, sure seemed to work down south for years, so why not in ABQ?
You're points are valid... Royal's expecting a ton of cars. Tre should pull...a bunch as well. They see the amount of cars in the vacinity...and are going to capitalize on that. There are over 200+ X mods&SSM's within a 500 mile radius. Abq. Is much more centrally located,than either of those places. The X mods@NAPA have been a cash cow for Fegan this year. ...a big show would be recipracation for the the class supporting NAPA all year long. ...it would help grow the class as well. Put up a stout purse...and IF promoted properly,getting the word out to ALL neighboring tracks...before they shut down,we'd pull 60~70 easily.
