305 sprint cars at napa 2014

Joe your probably right with the 10 cars after 2 had fallen out after the heat races.. I'm not saying 305's are a bad thing I think las cruces and El Paso have a good thing going down there.. Just makes no sense at all to run 305's at napa when virtually every sprint car in abq or surrounding areas have 360's!!! If they wanna run wings they should make it so everyone can run not just the hand full in abq that have the 305's.. Just a little food for thought if napa is gonna have a track champion again next year they should add the points up between non wing and wing to bring the two classes together and let's find out who the best all around driver is!! It would help make it more exciting for the fans..

I agree with you Jesse, we all have 360`s and I for one would love to run the 360 with a wing on it at Napa. After running the 305 a 360 would be a blast

I'm confused, are they gonna run 305 rules or just allow the current NMMRA cars to run Wings?

Joe the only point I was trying to make is it would make a lot more sense from a business stand point to run wing 360's rather than the 305's that there supposed to have scheduled at napa this year... 99% of the sprint cars that run with nmmra have ascs motors... And no I'm not saying nmmra should put wings on there a non wing club and that's great I think nmmra is doing great with car counts and the quality of cars might be the best it's ever been... So again I'll I'm trying to say is that from a business stand point napa is napa would be better off running 360 wing rather than the 5 or 6 305 wing cars that they might get... And I heard that they were only gonna have about 5 wing races this year anyways so it's not like we would be racing every weekend... Unlike what some other people may think... Mr. Baker and your business background comes from where? Closest race tracks that run sprint cars Las Cruces 305.......El Paso 305....... Lubbock 305......Amarillo 305....... Not to mention Knoxville Devils Bowl and 81 Speedway all run regular 305 shows.........BULLETIN Promotors weekly in the November issue.. "305 Sprint cars will the lower costs Keep weekly sprint car racing alive?" Business dumb oh one the class you passed says you gotta run 360's
Maybe Napa Speedway has you beat on this one....
AND PS don't rag on Mr. Zinter what he has done for racing in New Mexico far outreaches what your crybaby attitude has. We all remember watching you run around Hollywood Hills trying to blame somebody else for you rolling the car baby you be the driver.

i would look forward to the opening of the new track being built in Los Lunas, we sure look forward to the NMMRA sprints coming to our track to put on a show,but i do know racing at home is always better, your sanctioned group has done a stellar job keeping a viable racing car count(show) to bring a real exciting program that promoters look for to make it a show, keep up the good work and stay the course, even if it means traveling some times!See ya in Aug...

Any new track is good, but if they ever start running the same classes the same nights as Napa.....it will kill it for everybody!

Working together will be a plus for all, down south we work together with Cardinal Speedway and we share cars and sponsors,if the sanctioning is different at each track then it will be an uphill battle, i wish you'all the best, i hope to return to racing in and around Albq in a few years (GOD willing) and would like to see it rock!

Jesse's point for a Dual Championship will only work if others as he WILL HAVE the Ulitimate SPONSOR(s). With an apparent Schedule of Sprints every weekend, it will be a extreme hardship on the Bi-Monthly, HOBBY for FUN Drivers. With the nice field of Non-Wing, STEEL MOTOR Racers during the 2013 Season, how many can afford the Expense of not only the Wings, but a stronger motor to carry such? They may thereby only have 10-12 Wingers & then then same Issue mentioned for the 305 Division. If the dust issues remains, why not just 16 of U Faster Drivers for 20 Lap Features ? J W

As expensive as racing is these days, it's hard to believe any racer, much less a Sprint car racer can afford to race every weekend!
