A very good turn out of cars for practice, we saw 45 cars but may have missed a few as we didn't get there until about 1:00. The track was in great shape and fast. Some of the sprint car guys said it was as fast as the short track at Manzanita. Lots of action in all divisions and nobody bent anything up. The weather was a bit chilly and the wind increased as the day wore on but all in all a very good practice day. From the looks of things today it should be a terrific year of dirt track racing at Motiva Speedway starting in two weeks on March 29th. There were a couple of REALLY nice cars in the pits for sale.

Thanks for the report Bob and Ray. In the future you can save some ink if you refer to the non wing sprint cars as just "Sprint Cars" because that's what they they have always been. The ones with the "stiff on the top" are wing sprint cars.
Hello Mr. Seals. Yes, we always just called them Sprints Cars but it seems like the last few years more and more folks have called them Non-Wing Sprints or even Traditional Non-Wing Sprints. I don't care what we call em they sure are exciting. It was great to see such a good turn out for practice day, that should bode well for the season.
