Roger Pape long time race fan and father of Street Stock racer Jay Pape passed away on Tuesday. There will be a memorial service for Roger Friday 4-25-14 at 1:00 P.M. at Peralta Memorial United Methodist Church, 25 Wesley, Peralta. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jay and his wife Kathy and the children Jacob & Emily. Rest in the peace of the lord Roger, you will be missed.
It makes me sad to hear this,to know we wont be seeing his smiling face in the the pits. I loved talking to Roger at the tracks and his calm demeanor helped to calm me down at the quarter midget track on multiple occasions, as Im sure it did for Jay as well. Godspeed Roger.
