Dont forget this weekend UCS is running X-Mods for the Barnett Harley Davidson Points! The Board of Directors has recently made a change and are promiseing $300 to win for the X-Mods as long as they pull a minimum 10 cars. All drivers that start the A-Main in every class will get their Pit Fee back at the end of the night. Races start at 6:30pm, pill draw as you come through the pit gate. Come on out and be appreciated for it!

Lot of people are asking what this deal's about and how it works... Sooo, here's a basic explanation. Sherman Barnett donated a Harley, a really, really, nice Harley to Uranium capital speedway. At the end of the season it's to be raffled off. 80% of total proceeds go to the racers@UCS. 20% Goes to the children's miracle network. There are no administrative costs. Nice thing about owning the worlds largest Harley Davidson dealership is...you got people. Shermans got people... and they handle everything. In order for a racer to be eligible for the Barnett series point fund, a racer must sell 100 raffle tickets. Tickets are $5.00 a piece. They sell pretty easy, the bike will be on display all season, you factor in the fire&ice bike rally which is one of the largest motorcycle rallies in the southwest&the potential exists for significant ticket sales/rather large point fund. Sherman sent a large box of tickets last week(along with the Harley) to pass out to the racers. They were gone in a matter of minutes(I was to late). There are more in route. As Gary pointed out, this weekend is the 2nd Barnett series point race.
All of the Barnett points shows will be run when Motiva isn't running X mods... So any X mods who want to run for Motiva points and Barnett series points can do so simultaneously. It's a cool deal...
That's right Mychal all but like two races race opposite weekends of Motiva X-mods. This is a really great deal and everyone running for the points at UCS really has to thank Sherman Barnett, JR Baxter, Kevin McDonald, Rick Stevenson, and the UCS Board for coming together to make it possible to have a very nice points fund for the drivers while benefiting a great charity. As you said about the folks from Speedway Park... Racing in Grants, Racing for Pride! it just so happens that pride also comes with a points fund and 100% of your pit fee back just for starting the main, in all classes!
Joe, it drops in $10 increments 9 cars is $140, 8 is $130, with $30 to start. 10 cars used to be $150 to win but the UCS board has doubled it to match Motiva for winning, of course UCS pays more to start than Motiva does. So come on out to UCS May 3rd, Grandstands admission is $8 for adults, Seniors $5, Students age7-17 $4, 6 & under are free, don't forget about the Free Parking,$10 Track membership fee, $20 pit pass for non driver and $30 pit pass for driver! UCS the only track in Central New Mexico that pays every class 100% of your entry fee just to start. Racing with Pride, Racing at UCS!
