Next Saturday the USMTS modified series returns for their annual visit to Route 66 speedway in Amarillo. Last year they drew 50 modifieds and a total of 130+ cars...and the usual 4000 fans. Series point leader and home town favorite Rodney Sanders leads the traveling contingent which includes New Mexico's Johnny&Stormy Scott. The locals who defend their home turf with a vengeance, will be out in force, Dee&Jeramy Gossett, Gene Weaver, Kelly Cross, Braden Woods, Matt Newkirk, Allen Sharpenstein(who won last night, w/a 525CT crate motor)in addition to drivers from throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas. The USMTS modified series in Amarillo is always a great show. Pits will be full. Seats will be scarce. ...gonna be fun.
