Wendell was one of the top late model racers back in the day at Speedway park. He won at least 1 championship(might of been a couple). Pretty impressive, when you consider every Saturday night...35/40 late models, you had Gaylord, Donnie Byers, Pinkie Odom, Jim Crawley, Arlin Gurley etc.field was loaded. ...the top point/fast guys started in back. At one time back then, there were 4 Harger bros. Racing late models@speedway. (Ron, Max, Roby, Wendell)...
