FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Border States Racing Series is excited to announce that Tre Brewbaker (Brewbaker Promotions) will be taking over as owner/promoter of the BSRS for the 2015 season and beyond. After a highly successful inuagural season in 2014, the BSRS founder Chad Tenski will be turning over the reigns to Brewbaker, allowing Tenski to get back behind the wheel, focusing on his own racing program.
Brewbaker brings 15 years of experience working with tracks and touring series all across the region and is looking to bring even more exposure to the already popular IMCA touring series. When asked about this years series Brewbaker had this to say: “I am excited to work with the tracks and drivers this year to put on a show that the fans will pack the stands to see! Chad has really set us up for success this season and we plan to take that foundation and run with it! The BSRS brings a large car count everywhere it goes, that's what the fans want, good hard racing with lots of cars. That's exactly what we will bring!”
This years touring season kicks off with one of the biggest and highly anticipated races of the year; “Havoc on the Plains” at Aztec Speedway in Aztec, NM. Tenski will be running things this weekend in Aztec as the torch is passed from one ambitious promoter to another. “Chad (Tenski) has put a lot of work into that race and I wanted to use that as an opportunity to meet everyone and have him run things. We are really working together to make this a smooth transition. One thing is for sure... it's going to be one hell of a show,” exclaimed Brewbaker on the series kickoff next weekend.
The series has 5 weekends on slate for IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sportmods and two weekends of Sprint Car action. Host tracks for each of the two day events include: Aztec Speedway in Aztec NM, two weekends at Desert Thunder Speedway in Price, UT and one weekend at Sweetwater Speedway in Rock Springs, WY. It is likely that the series will see a May 29-30 race added in the coming week or so, as the series works out the details with the final track.
