Royal Jones at Southern New Mexico Speedway in Las Cruces is putting on one of the best paying Street Stock races in the country next Saturday 7-4-15. Here is the payout for 24 starters. There is a $75.00 entry fee but 24th place will pay $100.00 so you will get your money back.
Nascar driver Matt Crafton, the 2014 Nascar supertruck champion will be racing in Las Cruces doing triple duty. Rumor is he's driving the evil toy maker's A mod, one of the Barnett's super trucks and a local street stock in the 3k to win feature. His presence should add too, what looks like another great night of racing...down south.
The word in the pits last Saturday was basically... If you finish in the top 3 it'd be a good idea to bring a lawn chair & a book to the tech area, cuz you're be there a while. The tech down there has always been pretty thorough for the big shows. Over 50 cars pre- registered already, is what I've been told. Just heard that Nascar driver Matt Crafton won't be able to make it after all. A prior schedule commitment, that he couldn't get out of...apparently. Still gonna be an interesting show. If Lloyd Turner in his throwback 57 chevy somehow managed to win it, that place would go off.
