I know short notice but it was worth a shot! This Saturday 8/15 White Mountain Speedway Park (previously known as Thunder Raceway) in Show Low, AZ will be holding a $500.00 to win X-mod Main even. This is based on a 15 car field which should be no problem. We had 8 local cars last race, two new locals will be debuting there cars this weekend and have had 6 confirmed entrees from Phx-Tucson-Casa Grande arear. With some Big hitters headed our way! The track has been very fast this season and the staff has been working day and night to keep improving the facility! The last two X-Mod mains have been dominted by Wes Meeks piloting his new Larry Shaw Chassis this year as he has gone 2 for 2 in his new ride! Tucson Arizonas's hot shoe Brandon Farrington has schedules this show in his program with the hopes of bringing his Shaw chassis and his winning ways to break the streak Wes Meeks has going. Farrington has been one of the top AZ guys in x-mods over the last few seasons. Along with farrington will be the rookie driver making some noise this season #23 GRT chassis Cole Peterson, Trevor Miller, Valley front runner Eric Winemiller and Casa Grande's own Nolan Norrow will be making a return trip back to the mountain along with several others thrashing to get the cars ready in short notice.
We are running X-mod rules, same rules ran at track around NM. we do allow IMCA sport mods to run with us, must be 100% legal to your class! gear of choice is a 6.33 to 6.50 gear (cars with 7k chip rule)
Food and admission prices have been lowered and the weather has been AMAZING! Would love to see some NM pilots make the trip and do some racing! Racing starts at 7 drivers meeting at 6 p.m.
15 cars showed up to do battle and take a shot at Wes Meeks's undefeated streak. But after 30 laps it was still the same results with the #7 taking his 4th in a row. He had his hands full with the 50f of Brandon Farrington in closing laps after a yellow bunched the field up but was able to hold the Tucson hot shoe at bay.
1- #7 Wes Meeks (Shaw) 2- #50f Brandon Farrington (Shaw) 3- #223 Cole Peterson (Grt) 4- #2 Nolan Morrow (Pro) < for sale 5- #28t Trevor Miller (not sure) 6- #44k Kelsie Foley (shaw) 7- #28 Jim Skaggs (Flexi Flyer) 8- #7g Dennis Gates (GRT) 9- #5m Richard Malone (Dirt Works) 10- #22m Adam Mendoza (Excelerated) 11- #8 Doug Meeks (TRE) 12- #5 Roy Meeks (Harris) DNF 13-#3ss Austin Stewart (Harris) DNF

If your dad beat Farrington that's impressive. That kids fast, I've raced against him in Cruces. August 29th X mods race here in Albuquerque. There's probably gonna be a bonus for any out of town X mod that can come here and win. Be cool if Meeks nation showed up. ...you guys would have fun & I think we'd be good competition.
