Good afternoon, everyone:

First, I want to thank all of you for your continued prayers for my husband who sustained a massive stroke on June 13th. In addition, to the terrible stroke, he developed so many life-threatening complications that would have killed any other person, i.e., hemorrhagic conversion of an acute ischemic stroke, aspiration pneumonia, septic shock, kidney failure, atrial fibrillation, MRSA pneumonia, etc.

It has been such a long and difficult journey for me. He is still immoblie on the left side and has a tracheostomy and gastrostomy tube.

However, with all that said, he is still with us and I am so grateful to God for that.

I am weary and tired, having to be his medical advocate and take care of his business, my business and the family demands. I have decided to return to the Board because I NEED this Support Board for structure and support on my own journey to better health.

I am half-way through the day today and after I come back from the hospital to see him, I will try to make it a "Cambridge" day. Usually, I fold and eat out of frustration having seen him lethargic and bedridden. But, I believe in the good Lord and I know one day he will pull through and come back to being a healthy man.

So, wish me luck for ME.
