I'm still here.
Before my ankle tendon surgery in January requiring almost 6 months of not walking, I would go to my neighborhood park and walk the entire figure-of-eight walking path——TWICE!!. After the surgery, I thought (mentally) I would just "pick up where I left off". Well, NO!! That didn't happen.
After walking only the lower part (which was a quarter of my former walk) ONCE, I was huffing and puffing and out of breath, sweating like a pig and barely making it back to my car before I thought I would collapse. That was about 10 days ago. Each day I have tried to improve my steps-per-minute and my endurance.
I want to announce that the Wednesday after Labor Day (two days ago), I walked the entire path TWICE!!!
PERSONAL BEST. I am going to try to do it again today.
