It's day 2. I am not perfect and may have to accept that I will do better using the regular Cambridge Plan as outlined on the website.
I pasted the link to the "Chart Your Success" tool at the Cambridge website. I took my measurements this morning and wrote them down on the sheet Cambridge provided. I plan to use the charts that Cambridge provided every day as long as I am using the Cambridge this time. I put them in a 3 ring binder, and I will carry the chart with me in my purse. I have had my head in the sand for months, not wanting to see the truth --not wanting to even look in the mirror. Time to wake up and smell the coffee. I am a compulsive, impulsive out of control comfort eater and I have to get a handle on this behavior before my weight literally kills me. I really believe this chart will help me as long as I chart everything religiously and analyze the situation and the emotions I had that led up to any event.
Yesterday I planned to do SS yesterday but as in the past I struggled. Yesterday, I used the chart to document every morsel of food, good and bad, that I ate. I was fine all day-but at work I knew I would have trouble with the vending machine. Instead I packed 2 sticks of celery in my lunch bag in case I needed to chew on something.(1 cup of celery equals 16 calories) and packed black coffee. In addition, I had 3 bottles of water at water at work and my last shake of the day at work. The midterm election and politics weighs heavy on me and I stress day and night about the direction we are headed in this country. I stress about personal family matters. I stress about the situations at work. Stress got the best of me again. As soon as I got home the impulses took over and I ate and, of course, shared with my dog and one of my cats.
Today I wrote down everything I ate yesterday on the Cambridge Chart Your Success Chart. 1871 calories, most of which was consumed after 11 PM after work-At my weight I would still lose weight consuming that amount but it isn't in my plan to do that.
Forgive the rambling. Now it's time to get ready and go VOTE.
