Oh don't I know it! I've often mentioned here on the board over the years that a size 6 in a high end store can be equal to a size 12 in a discount store. My theory is that the expensive stores know a women will pay more for a size 6 that "fits" then the same size garment marked 12 in a lower end store.

In my previous relationship my boyfriend took me shopping in a high end store to buy pants for our Vegas trip. The pants were just under $100 which I thought was RIDICULOUS! But he was all about labels and status so he thought nothing of it. These were just plain old black pants. The thing that got my attention however was that they were a size 8. I knew I was not an 8 in my world. lol! But I have to admit...I felt pretty awesome wearing my 8's!

I don't know why they bother with sizes in women's clothing anyway. There is no consistency like there is in men's.
