The goal is satiety while not rewarding any cravings or with too much variety. That's why you want to limit seasoning to just salt and pepper ideally. Dark meat chicken might be ok, but not my preferred option. Shrimp is not as self limiting as eggs and salmon and you may overeat. Also, you would be taking in more protein and less fat. Fat is what will signal leptin, the satiety hormone, that tells you to stop eating. I would recommend sticking with the list at first and see if it works for you. Hopefully this will transition you in to SS, or at least get you to where you can SS most days and only use from the list on those days you feel the need. My first choice would be a couple of eggs cooked in butter and 3 slices of bacon. When you don't want that again, go to the other options on the list. It may get boring, but that's kind of the goal. At some point you will hopefully naturally start choosing to just have your Cambridge.
