When I first started I was disabled and unable to do anything without a cane or a walker. I was in constant pain from advanced bone on bone arthritis in my knees and struggling with hypertension and the after effects of congestive heart failure and edema along with diabetes and medication side effects. Misery. About 4 days in to SSing I began to feel energy returning to my body. I started walking and bit by bit I increased my activity until I was doing a 20 min mile and working out in my little apartment gym. My pain level went down dramatically and my endurance became almost limitless! It was a rebirth! lol! I never pushed beyond what was comfortable so I took it slow and easy, but for me, that's what worked.
