Mushrooms have properties that inhibit tumor growth - angiogenesis inhibitors- They also reduce the production of fat according to Dr. Joel Fuhrman in several of his books. Onions, broccoli, cauliflower, romaine lettuce, tomatoes, celery, zucchini are all low carb. I don't hesitate in adding low carb veggies like onions, broccoli, mushrooms, or tomatoes to my FFL Cambridge Soup and my FFL Super Oats Pizza. |
In my opinion these are a good foundation for maintenance eating after the weight loss goal is reached.
