I just placed an order for Vanilla Creme Tonalin and the Chocolate Truffle Tonalin. Please check on this for me. I ordered second-day air because it MUST arrive by next Friday, and of course I didn't think to order until I saw your email just now; and when I called Cambridge, they were of course closed. I noted on the order form that you were my distributor. Please call Monday morning and make sure they ship me something -- you decide what to substitute if need be; I like thick and creamy -- and make sure I receive it by Friday.
I am leaving town Saturday and no one will be around to get the package for a month after that.
I am going to Dallas June 9-14 to be part of the Baptist Press team of journalists covering the annual meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention, and June 18 I will be going back for my second knee replacement surgery.
Here is my update report: It's now been seven weeks since my first knee replacement, and TODAY FOR THE FIRST TIME IN AT LEAST A DOZEN YEARS I was able to ride a bike! That is, a stationary one, at the wellness center. I could not be more excited. I didn't realize I had lost range of motion in my knee over time, after an injury in 1998. I just knew I couldn't use the bikes at the gym. But now I can! That tells me I had a good surgeon, and that I've been doing a good job of working with my knee. I was at 93 percent range of motion in that knee when I went in for surgery, and last Friday I was at 117 percent! The surgeon wants me at, at least, 120, and on up to 140. Sheesh!
It's still very difficult to walk up stairs, but I figure that in part is due to my hundred extra pounds.
And by the way, I am maintaining at a solid 197 pounds, without Cambridge, meaning I am eating just enough to maintain, and too much to lose any more (I'm down about 20 lbs.) When I get out of rehab after my surgery though (I was in for two weeks both hospital and rehab after the first surgery), my daughter will be going to Brazil for two weeks, and I will be completely alone on this east side of the Wasatch Mountains in Utah.
This knee I'm getting replaced next is my driving knee, so I won't be going anywhere. It will be a good time to get back into SSing!
I haven't been on the messsage board for a month or two, but will read backwards now and catch up.
It is past Memorial Day and now it's June. Let's all of us plan on a sugar- and bloat-free month, paving the way for July and August, and by September we'll be ready to post photos to this website! May God bless us all!
You've had a lot going on Karen! I am impressed by your TKR results. I will forever be grateful that I was able to get both of mine replaced. It was a life changer for sure.
I will contact Janet on Monday and see what the status of your order is. I will also send an email right now to make sure it gets seen first thing when they open up. This move has been challenging for us all but hopefully things will be back to normal by the 15th. That's what I'm hoping for.
