84 days and counting (down) Posted by Yvonne on 6/2/2018, 10:10 am Good morning, folks: I have had this wicked cold/flu for the past week and am STILL coughing and sneezing ——what up with that? I have been trying to be on sole source and I have been for the most part, except when my husband tries to feed me (to make me strong to fend off the cold). He even brought 8 mini-sweet potato pies by Patti LaBelle. He offered me one and I had a bite in front of him, then promptly through the rest of that piece of crap into the garbage. I am fighting on TWO fronts!! Home and advertising. It is a battle. I still am not myself and am coughing with a lot of mucus and phlegm (disgusting, right?) but I am on sole source and trying to hide from my husband. I hope everyone is healthy and happy. Downward, downward to the goal!

It's the worst part of a upper respiratory virus if you ask me. SO exhausting, especially if it keeps you from being able to sleep. Your husband needs a time out! lol! If he feels that food will strengthen you, why then is he not bringing you something that is actually good for you? Good intentions, I'm sure, although a little misguided. Sugar never made anyone healthier. Hang in there Yvonne. Hopefully you are in the final phase of this darn illness.

Expecting someone to change to make our life more comfortable is pointless. The only one we can change is our self. Or in this case, how you react to the same situation you've experienced over and over. A life lesson.
