Positive self-talk Posted by Yvonne on 8/31/2018, 1:04 pm While I am writing this post, I am procrastinating. Mentally I should be walking. Physically I NEED to walk, but emotionally I don't want to do anything. My famous saying for being successful hasn't motivated me. "Doing what you don't want to do, when you don't want to do it." Okay, I'm going to lace up my sneakers. I'm still slurping, sipping and (I guess) walking. Have a great day everyone.

My pool has dropped a couple of degrees and I am not looking forward to that initial cold shock, but as soon as there is enough shade to do my laps in, I'm getting in. You've inspired me to do what I don't want to do, when ((it's too cold!)) I don't want to do it!

So, that will be the end of swimming for me until next Spring. You, on the other hand, have that wonderful pool all-year round. So, I guess you can afford to be selective.

Unfortunately, our pool is not heated and once the sun starts to shift in the sky and the temperatures start to drop in the next month, so does our pool. I can't tolerate it once it gets below 80 and it gets as cold as 68 by winter! If I'm lucky, and we have no hurricanes to chase us away, I may be swimming until the end of Sept. And yes! I did get in yesterday AND today!
