Edibles® in the garbage Posted by Yvonne on 9/9/2018, 3:29 pm Today, I received a wonderful gift from some good neighbors who wanted to send their best wishes to my stricken husband. The doorbell rang and there was this delicious arrangement of chocolate-covered strawberries and another lovely fruit arrangement (some covered with milk chocolate) and a message stating to "Get Well Soon", accompanied by a balloon. The gesture was marvelous. However, my husband cannot swallow very well yet and he is just beginning to speak after the stroke. I could have eaten all that delicious stuff, but I kept the balloon and ditched the chocolate-covered fruit into the garbage. Did you know one of those assortments has as many as 1,500 to 2,2000 calories?!!! Yes, I looked it up. Don't be fooled by the "fruit" idea. It's a trap!! Check out assortments 1207, 2192, or 1260. Hmm...must investigate! Anywho, I am very impressed! I'm not a fruit fan, but there was a time I would have gladly nibbled off the chocolate and THEN ditched the remainders in the trash! lol! You made your commitment when you purged your kitchen and even when temptation literally walked in the door, you stood tall!
