Hi Everyone. It's Day 1 of SS for me.I don't plan to report in every day but I will report in at least on a weekly basis.
Yesterday I had the colonoscopy. It wasn't that bad except for the laxatives that were required days before the prep day and on the prep day the drinking of all the mixed potions(powdered Miralax)plus MORE laxatives and the drinking of the various clear liquids. I do not want to look at another bottle of Gatorade! During the procedure the doctor found 2 small pollops which the doctor wasn't very concerned about. Last time there was one precancerous pollop found. They will biopsy the two and I will receive results in a week or 2..I craved Shrimp with broccoli and rice so last night that is what I had as my "last meal" til Thanksgiving(IF I eat on Thanksgiving). I say that because I know with every non-sanctioned bite of food I always weaken my resolve. It's like sand on a coastal beach washing away with each wave. Each bite does the same thing to my willpower. I know from my experiences in the past that each social engagement each meal messes with my progress more than weighing in everyday, more than watching commercials, and more than nasty comments. I need to say "NO" to food. This is hard because my husband has to have food in the house. Fortunately for me he will cook for himself. He is quite handy in the kitchen..canning soup, freezing vegetable from the garden, baking, and grilling. He can do it all! I think he would prefer to have a healthier wife, and one without certain health issue so I need to work this plan for him, too.
I poured out my expected water intake into 32 ounce bottles. I made a list of goals for today. Everyone have a great day.
WOW!!

I inventoried my Cambridge Stock today. There is more than enough there to do 12 weeks or more.
I had HOT Dutch Chocolate original shake mix for my breakfast.
I had the Cambridge FFL Potato Soup for my lunch.
I had a Dutch Chocolate shake mixed with a few tablespoons of water then shaped into a cookie, poured out onto parchment paper, baked in the microwave for 1 minute 30 seconds. I placed in the freezer to cool, When it was sufficiently cooled and ready to eat I could chew and chew for my dinner.
Now I am focusing on finishing my water intake. I am setting a few goals for tomorrow as well.
Just a head's up, last I heard they were going to be discontinuing the potato and tomato soups. I can't figure that one out because for me, the potato has always sold the most and the chicken was the only one people would sometimes comment on negativity.
Do they have a plan to replace the Tomato and the Potato with something else? Or is Chicken going to be the only option?
I am very disappointed because the soup is a great alternative when one tires of the sweetness of the shakes, and it satisfies the need for something warm on cold days.
I can still have broth but still it is nice to have the Cambridge soup with all the nutrients.
Yes, broth works great for that hot and savory need.
The reason behind it is that they want to eliminate all slow moving inventory for a while and reduce the waste of having to dispose of unsold flavors. They took a big hit with this move that went so very badly and are restructuring for now. I don't know what their future plan is for bringing back, or introducing new flavors at this time. In the mean time, you can stock up on what they have remaining. Of course, everyone is welcome (and encouraged!) to contact Cambridge and voice their concerns or complaints.
