4th week Posted by Yvonne on 9/21/2018, 8:37 am Good morning, everyone: MaryL and Sonali!! An especially "Good Morning" to you! I know this is tough but keep going. I just keep telling myself, "NO MATTER WHAT!!" Yes, I emptied my house of food, but I have a car and there are 7-11s and fast food places all over; as if it were a food gauntlet I pass each time I visit my husband at the hospital. The trying times have made my resolve weaker and I indulge, but come on!!! I see changes in my body and I need to be strong and continue this journey——a journey I have yet to complete. So, with all the stresses and the disappointments, we can STILL DO THIS!! Hang in there folks! I'm going upstairs and sit on my bike now.

Many times as I sat in fast food drive through lines, I would see rats scurrying back and forth from the bushes to the restaurants. It's inevitable that restaurants, especially fast food establishments, have rodent problems and unless they get inspected, they don't care. You know that vermin's goal is to get to the food in the store rooms. Imagine that storage area teaming with rats and mice and all they leave behind, all over the boxes and bins and bags of food. Don't get me started on the roaches! lol!! Now, visualize this in your mind whenever you are driving BY those places and go home and make a shake

Although your description was graphic, it's the truth and the visual still remains seared in my mind. Thanks!! Keep slurping and sipping!!

You're right, it IS a difficult journey. But, I know that I am trying to change DECADES of poor eating habits and a perverse relationship with food. It's not easy, but it IS doable, if we just keep trying and keep going. Thank you for coming and posting on the Board. It really helps me. Good or bad, we are all human and we need each other.
