I woke up at 5:30 a.m., went to the polls to vote and then to the Post Office. By 6:30 a.m., I was on my bike and then abs. Took a shower and had my Cambridge Rich Chocolate Shake and I am off to a meeting.
I was wearing size 20. I ordered slacks from Amazon size 18. They were too large and so I ordered size 16. I put them on and they are a bit big. However, my mind couldn't wrap around the idea of buying a size 14. But, I did it anyway. We'll see how they fit. I won't take the tags off until I try them on this time.

That is great Yvonne! Even if the 14s don't fit yet, you know they soon will. You are in the losing zone and it can feel unreal at times, seeing the numbers on the sizes go down. I spent a lot of time in dressing rooms trying things on, not believing the size I was fitting in to and assuming it was a fluke of whatever garment I was trying on. I'm sure the sales people wondered what I was doing in there for so long! lol!
I would say that while life may have handed you some really sour lemons, you are definitely making some lemonade in spite of it all.
They fit!!

The slacks fit!! I couldn't believe it. A size 14?!!! What a surprise. I am still continuing my routine. It seems to be working.
I must admit that after I fit the size 14 slacks, my mind wandered and I had a slip with some pastries. I don't know why I ate the pastries, but it seems that self-sabotage is still there. I just need to grow up emotionally.

I still can't come to grips with all of this, Pam. But, I felt like celebratng when I fit those slacks; however, I chose the wrong celebrant.
It was like weighing myself (in the good ol' days) and seeing the numbers go down. I thought that I had reached a goal and then I would celebrate with something that was deleterious to my continuing on to the ULTIMATE GOAL and then I would fail and start all over again, but that would be a month or two months or three before I could get my head together and start back.
Trying on those slacks made me feel as if I had attained the ULTIMATE GOAL and that I needed recognition and acknowledgement of such. So, I reverted back to what I usually do——EAT!! and EAT a lot. A behavior pattern which needs to be corrected. I am glad I analyzed my behavior because the next time I get to an interim goal, I won't be doing that again (I hope). My behavior just has to catch up with my expectations. They are out of synch right now——the old behavior with the new focus.
