I am still hangin in there. I am so tired! I need to go grocery shopping but feel like going back to bed . My daughter and grandson come for lunch tomorrow. My daughter is on a 1500 calorie diet. Grilled Chicken, salad and low carb vegetables are on her diet and berries for dessert. My plan is to SS but if I do decide I need to eat with the family I will keep it simply salad and a small portion of chicken.
Everyone have a great day
Everyone have a good day.
Title for a Journal....
Posted by Me on 1/5/2019, 12:20 pm, in reply to "Day 4"
I had never put a picture on the board before and wasn't sure I could figure it out. So I didn't add any text to it. But the other day we were talking of trying to merge our "eating mindset self" with the rest of our life segments. This "Quote" is one that I think can go into any journal. Daily life, Food/Diet, or Spiritual journal. The two biggest time stealers of our present day? The day we are in "right at the moment?" Number One. The time we waste worrying about what we did yesterday and Number Two, wringing our hands about what tomorrow will bring and how we will handle it. And normally it is always thoughts of "The Bad Things we did" Yesterday "I ate wrong," tomorrow "I have a meeting that will have donuts." But good stuff that happened the day before or things that will occur tomorrow, can throw off our thinking too. "Yesterday I was total "SS" and did 17 hours of cardio." "Tomorrow I will be in the desert for 22 hours with only Cambridge and water and a jump robe." We let our mind go into places that tell us.... We could of ALWAYS BEEN BETTER yesterday. Perfect "SS" drank 7 bottles of water, could of drank 8.. Walked around the block, could of walked it twice. The video is only 4 minutes long, I could of done it three times instead of 2. And tomorrow, we do plan but, we trip up and give up. Beating ourselves up if we do bad or if we do great. It doesn't matter how good or how bad we were yesterday, or how bad, or good or easy tomorrow will be. We only have today. We have to make today count, or we will be wasting our lives. I know two things for myself, only with the Grace of God and mindful awareness thinking can I stop the roller coaster of this ride. For me, The Grace of God is always there. The idiot, soul sucking thinking takes practice. But I do know this, the more we practice self care thinking, the easier it gets. We have choices. Even if we have to talk to ourselves "out loud" (Ummm, yep I do,) We Have "SS" "SOLE Source" We Have "SS" "SOUL Source" We Have "SS" "SELF Source" Once we can make these "Co-Habitat," and just let that be ok. Then we will know things are different. That goals are different than just, "Pounds Lost" or "Inches lost" We, well, I am still one big hot mess, but............so is everyone else, But I don't have control over them. I only have to worry about, care about, nurture, myself. And as a women, I know how selfish that sounds. But, you know on the plane where they tell you. "If you are traveling with a child or are a care taker of someone on the flight"........... PUT YOUR MASK ON FIRST. Put on that oxygen mask and just.....BREATHE!!! JUST FOR TODAY.
We could have always been better yesterday

LOL.... Yes, unfortunately, in EVER aspect of our lives. I was wondering if it is Ok with you and with Maryl of her idea. A few days back MaryL mentioned doing two things daily. MaryL's post: "I read that it helps to set a goal for each day and find at least one thing to be grateful for. I want to include these 2 things in my day to day routine." Is there a way you can set that up at the top of the board so it doesn't get lost as we move from page to page. I know I won't post to it every day. Not that I don't have a daily goal, {Get through the day alive} and a grateful heart daily {grateful I got through the day alive} But I know there will be days that I would love to post a goal or a grateful sentence. Not necessarily for anyone to answer or post back to, but just so we see them adding up. One persons goal could motivate someone else. Someones grateful heart could make someone say "Yes, I am grateful for that too." Just a thought. P.S. (Unless it is already there and I missed it.)
Just keep going, MaryL!!

You are doing GREAT!!
Remember it's not just one day! It's a collection of days put together. Cambridge will get us there. Sole sourcing is the true way; however, if you need to socialize (like I do sometimes), it's okay, just get back to sole sourcing when you can.
Have a great day!!

That's so nice of you to accommodate her diet. A moderate meal of lean protein would be fine. Just be sure to have your Cambridge before eating and that will reinforce your commitment and keep you mentally on track, not to mention curb your appetite. Enjoy!

It's ok. Instead of looking at it as caving in, call it a choice. You made a choice and it certainly could have been a worse one (assuming it wasn't fully loaded, lol!). Give yourself a pat on the back for that.
