So I had a nice surprise Posted by Pam T on 1/10/2019, 3:52 pm I had a follow up Dr appointment a couple of days ago for my last blood work I had done. I had a shock a few months ago. I found out that once again..diabetes had slithered its way back in my life and because of that, my BP was high again and everything else was going to Hell in a hand basket as my mom used to say! lol!I was determined to get on top of it as I've always done so I started making changes and have been SS off and on. I became more consistent with daily exercise since we got a treadmill and recently I've been doing the 4 Minute workout 3 xs a day. Anyway...I got weighed and vitals, then went back to the room to wait for the Doc. She sat down and opened my chart, then looked at me with her eyes all wide open. I thought something was wrong, but she told me that I had lost 20 lbs since Oct! lol! I knew I had lost some, but being tall, you don't notice it as much. She was mind blown. So was I! She had made an appointment with an endocrinologist for me to be evaluated for the diabetes, which I just now cancelled. Everything is going in the right direction now number wise and she feels confident I can manage this without any drug intervention. It's a good feeling.

My husband requires another surgery and I am just about exhausted with worry. His carotid artery is severely narrowed (90%) and needs to be operated upon. However, I am SO glad that you could cancel your endocrinology appointment. Now that you have shown me the way by keeping up with the 4-minute workout. I think I can restart that again. Pam, you are my champion. Thank you for keeping this Support Board.
