Seeing the light Posted by Barbara F. on 6/12/2019, 5:10 pm Good days and bad days. A lot of stress. Posted last year about my adopted daughter running away. She is found placed and runs again and gets into more trouble. After all this I still love her. Had her from 8-15 years. Wish I could knock some sense into her. Not in our custody now. Last year it would drive me to food not now. This year it is about me. I started back February 19th. I am down 47 lbs. My hip surgery is scheduled for the beginning of August. My doctor wants me down another 12 lbs according to his scale. He wants me to increase my protein and calories two weeks before surgery. Then my next goal will be to get to wonderland which will take awhile but I am on my way. Will probably get easier when some of the pain is gone. Just wanted to share.

I am so happy for your progress so far. You can certainly lose that 12 lbs by August. Having such an important deadline can really help. I had the same before my knee replacements. I was certainly grateful for my efforts during recovery. Each pound matters!!

That's a huge amount of weight I asked about your goals in another post. It is so hard raising kids- you just never know what they will do as teenagers. It's really hard to be a parent! Glad my kids are grown but you never stop worrying about them. Take CARE AND HAVE A GOOD NIGHT
