Back in the Cambridge Diet World Posted by Syl on 6/30/2019, 3:17 pm Hi All, Some of you my recognize my name - I was on CD shakes and one vegie and protein meal a day a number of years ago. I lost about 40 pounds, but, over time, I have gained it back. I was encouraged by my son who has lost 36 pounds recently by drinking meal replacement shakes twice a day and eating one "normal" meal a day. I decided THAT is what I will devote myself to - but I want to use Cambridge, because I never looked or felt better than I did when I used CD last time ! I really need someone to be accountable to. My son doesn't want his mom for a diet partner (go figure) and the peeps that SHOULD do this with me are into other methods of TRYING to lose weight. I'm as honest as they come and, if I know I'm going to get on this chat board and tell you all how I'm doing - I'm going to tell you the TRUTH - and that's motivation to do it right !

When I lost the 40-ish pounds, my sister was my partner (via email) and we did really well, despite the fact that we were on different programs. I did CD with a small low carb meal each day and she did 4 Hour Body. Its a struggle against returning to ones state of comfort! I know YOU will accomplish GREAT THINGS this month :-D

welcome Syl Posted by Pam T on 6/30/2019, 8:42 pm, in reply to "Back in the Cambridge Diet World" My kids won't take my advice on anything and certainly don't want to diet with me either so I can relate. Have your 3 Cambridge servings a day. That is a must. Your added meal of protein and veg (above ground, low starch) should work fine for you. Keeping it to 3 to 4 oz protein and leafy green is ideal. You can use olive oil and lemon or vinegar, salt and pepper as a simple dressing. My husband lost his weight this way.

I had not planned to do that third serving of CD...but I think that's a good idea ! I dont like meat, so getting enough protein without the carbs is kinda challenging for me. If I add that third serving, I'll get more fluids, more protein and more vitamins. What's not to love about THAT ?!?!?! :-D Thanks so much for that suggestion !!!
