I have been all over the place since I last posted. I never made it to Day #3!!!
Howeve, Labor Day still looms and gives me a good chunk of time to get "my act together".
Yes, I may have lost the weight and look better but I AM STILL NOT AT MY GOAL!! That's the problem.
The compliments keep coming and I have allowed them to "turn my head" away from my original goal of 147 pounds. Darn!! What did I look like before the weight loss? Now, that is a very sad question to answer.
So, I just have to focus on the REAL goal, not so much of losing weight, but establishing a routine I can stick with NO MATTER WHAT!! and to heck with the scale.
Hang in there folks. If anyone wants to join me in these last weeks before Labor Day, you are most welcome.
Good Mornin...

I had a thought on that motivation to "Keep going." I think that we all have been there at sometime or another and we know we can't stop. Because in our journey to health. and in weight loss in particular, there are three places to be. 1. Dieting {Losing weight} 2. Maintaining (Still careful but not as} 3. Totally off the diet {To mentally tired to care any more} In the beginning we set goals. Want to look better. Want to feel better. Want to be healthier. What has happened now is....You basically have hit those goals. I mean, look at you!!!!! So, I think maybe reevaluate your goals. More specific goals. I do not have a clue as to what your personal specific goals would be, but as you mull it over, they will come to you. You could get a large piece of poster board. Find pictures of yourself. At your heaviest. When you started to lose, a few months back and today. Attach them to the board. Under each picture, put the goals you had at that moment. Under the fist one, say "Look better" under the second one, "look better, feel better" third one, "want clothes to fit better" under the fourth, " swim suit try on's" Put as many pictures along your journey as you want, and what ever motivations helped you along the way. In the last spot, put up a blank piece of paper. This is your goals for now and in the future. What is it now that you need and want in your life. As our weight goes down, our goals change. Trust me, all the compliments you get now, will dwindle. People will be over the shock of your weight loss. If they have a weight problem, they will be over talking about your success soon. I know how hard it is to maintain. I bet not one person on this board or reading this board, has not hit their perfect goal weight, and yet, here we are all again. So what must change? Our goals must be deeper than, feel better, look better, clothes fit better. We have to get what we need from inside us and not from others or the mirror. I am not preaching, I am sharing. My middle name is.... "Been there, done that"
Great idea!

Kind of a vision board. I am a big believer of writing down goals and then posting them in view.
You are SO right!!

Today was a better day.
I don't have time for all of your suggestions, i.e., getting photos, or getting poster boards or pieces of paper, Me--- that's why I'm on Cambridge. No mess, hard-core focus.
However, I really do appreciate you supporting me and my ultimate goal which is to be 147 pounds, PERIOD!!
Thanks again for all of your time in making great suggestions for me and for others who are reading the post.
You're not proselytizing, you're just trying to help and I am truly grateful.
