Day 2 Posted by Sue F on 8/21/2019, 7:26 pm I made it through day 1 with no problems (nothing but Cambridge). Today is day 2. I'm feeling hungrier, but have not given in to temptation so far. I keep reminding myself if I give in, how disappointed in myself I will be - and I'll need to start all over again at day 1. I believe the first 3 days are the most difficult - is that correct? Good luck to everyone else!

Hopefully you have experienced some appetite suppression and are feeling pretty good. Are you hanging in there? Yes...the first 3 days are the challenging ones. Your body is using up the glycogen you have stored in your liver and once that is done you convert over to using body fat which is ketosis. Yay! Check in with an update. Hope it's going well

I decided to eat a small meal on Sunday night, which I feel okay about doing. It wasn't because of temptation or lack of willpower. I'm starting SSing again today. Re: Day 2 Posted by MaryL on 8/22/2019, 2:18 pm, in reply to "Day 2" Congratulations! It's hard but you can do it! After your body adjusts with what they call Ketosis it is supposed to get easier. There are many ways to do Cambridge successfully. SS is only one of the ways. An all or nothing attitude can be the greatest asset in doing SS or be the downfall of many. In my opinion the key to success is inner strength - Have it in yourself to pull yourself up if there is a momentary lapse and be prepared for it even though it might not happen in your case. Never be too hard on yourself! It truly is all about mindset. I hope I can join you soon as soon as I get my medical issues out of the way. Best Wishes
