Hi, everyone: Posted by Yvonne on 12/20/2019, 12:13 am I had a scare with my mammogram. But, everything turned out to be benign. Being nervous about the results, receiving gift baskets galore, with a contracted interval between Thanksgiving and Christmas PLUS a blockage in my bathroom pipes causing Class III major water damage have taken their toll on my will-power. Anyway, I am still in the midst of the "clean-up" (carpets ripped up and discarded, lower third of all the walls were demolished in kitchen, utility room and bathroom. What a mess!! Trying to work with homeowner's insurance is a nightmare, not to mention contractors. I've had my fill and I am feeling bloated. So, back to Cambridge. There are seven whole days before Christmas. The compliments don't help either. But, what the heck. Let's keep going.

However, the insurance company is dragging its feet with respect to getting things going and I can't live like this (no kitchen, no bathroom, no utility room). So, I told the contractor to start and I'll take care of the insurance company. Now, I am up to my ears in dust, new sheetrock, paneling, toilets, vanities, flooring. It is really a nightmare. But, it's getting done.

I had one last year that was questionable and had to have a second. It turned out to be ok. Waiting for results took years off my life though! I'm so sorry to hear about your flood! That's terrible! I have a friend that is going through the exact same thing. She is single and caring for her elderly father and is battling the insurance company too. I won't pay you any compliments, though you deserve them! I hope you have been able to get back on track.
