Long time no chat! Hope and assume that all is very well in you life. Question, and don't think this site inspired me...I've been considering this idea for quite some time - I am writing a book - very similar to "The Shy Bladder Syndrom: Your Step by Step Guide to Overcoming Paruresis:, and would like to ask if any of the folks here would like to insert some personal testimony; stories of life with shy-bowel; history of how/when/where it started; and most importantly stories of overcoming and treatment and success in living with shy bowel (i.e. Best of Board is outstanding!). No names need be used! 'Well, that's what the entire site is all about' you might be thinking. But I really need to have permission to insert any testimonials for my book. ***NOTE: I am NOT a Ph. D, a medical doctor of any sort or even a nurse - I am a fellow shy-bowler who is sick of scouring the internet with absolutely NO book results for this damn problem! And I'm sick of sitting back and thinking maybe, someday, somebody will write one. There's a lot of us out here and there needs to be a competent easy-to-read self help book for this problem. I saw one of those Dummies books the other day - you know the one's - Investing for Dummies; Buying a First Car for Dummies, etc. Can you believe that I actually saw one with the title: Breastfeeding for Dummies - - ???? I thought to myself, damnit! These poor Gen Y babies - I think as an adult I would be more apt to keep it on the down low that my mom bought a Breastfeeding for Dummies book than the fact that I have shy bowel!! Anyway - please let me know your thoughts on haveing people share permissable testimony. We need a book! Connie
