the conference was organised by the national phobics society (a uk charity), and was attended by some important figures from the phobia/ocd/anxiety medical scene. there weren't that many people there, but the presentations given were reasonable, and, perhaps more importantly than anything else, the significant thing is that the conference took place at all. it's only a beginning, but at least it's starting to get toiletphobias into the medical establishment's awareneness. the national phobics society were funded by a wealthy philanthropist to do this campaign on toiletphobia, and they have a couple more prongs to it including a dvd about toiletphobias which they will release at some point, and a well-organised press release that will be going out shortly (if not already).
