yes that adrenalin thing sounds too familiar. to avoid going in public places i simply only eat very little or nothing, which is bad. but then there's less chance of something coming out if not a lot went in, so to speak. also at work i did notice that a lot of people used the toilet there for a BM quite regularly, so they obviously had no problem with it. take care,
like say i'm eating a meal and someone unexpectedly drops in i always develop bad stomachs because of the adrenalin. if i'm all alone this NEVER happens.
i mean it's said to avoid excitement and rushing around while eating anyway, so i think that's what it is. as soon as the adrenalin kicks in (oh no someone's at the door to visit, what if i get a bad stomach?) - digestion goes 'all systems down, get rid of excess baggage' and the bad stomach has arrived.
i mean i usually manage to go in the morning and then i'm fine for the day - unless i would eat a big lunch at work or on a day trip etc. - then i would feel getting all tense and start worrying that i might need to go. so for the past few years i got used to eat very little all day (if at work) and then just eat a double portion in the evening, when 'safe' again in my own flat.
when i came in and noticed it i was always annoyed and thought 'how can they just do this in here without a care??' but only cause i wished i would be able to as well.
yes it sounds like your family doesn't have the most natural relationship to BMs..i could say u should say to yourself 'but it is natural, there's nothing wrong with it', but once wrong information has been imprinted into you during your childhood years it's some challenge trying to amend it later in life.
not impossible though i hope..
