I am a nutritional therapist and have a good diet and avoid all the foods that may contribute to not being able to go to the toilet. Dehydration is a key issue as our bodies try to hold onto the water in our bowel, so making sure we have plenty of water and also essential fatty acids Omega 3's and Omega 6 is also really beneficial.
I had food poisoning once, and was unable to release, it was hell.
I have a new boyfriend and I am really worried about going away with him. My bowel just closes up, i get no desire to go until i get home. It's just terrible.
