When you say cannabis oil, do you mean CBD oil (i.e. no THC in it)?
I've looked at it for my own general anxiety, but in the UK it's not so easy to get hold of reputable stuff. In theory, anything that lowers your background levels of anxiety should have a positive impact on your shy bowel.
I've also very recently (like two days ago) started looking at trans cranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), though it looks like you have to be really careful and disciplined in the way you use it, and find out as much as you can about where to apply it on the scalp etc, otherwise you could just make yourself worse. Get as much knowledge as you can, and proceed with caution seems to be the message. Couple of interesting articles that I've only skimmed so far:
