hi im also a mother of a six year old. my daughter has been holding herself since she started pre school at the age of two and a half. we learnt to cope with it thinking she would grow out of it. but in the last month or so she has got so bad she has'nt passed a stool in two weeks .my doctors over the passed years just keep perscribing lactolose witch dont help. i took to her a&e and they did a x ray and shes so bunged up its pushing on her heart. we are at our wits end because no one will listen to what im saying shes not constipated she wont let it go its in her head . she is a very deep child she wont tell you a lot of things and when we mention it she ignores you . i thought i was alone untill i read your problem too. if you have any usefull information that might help please let me know
