My 6 year old daughter is in Kindergarten with no Pre K before it thanks to Gov Bush of Florida. When she was did the K pretesting she was advanced for her age and now she is being held back. Originally we were assuming that it was because of her lazy eye and took her in for a follow up and ended up going to another eye dr who said yes her school problems are because she cant see, who in turn referred her back to her original eye dr for more testing. took her in today for that appt and he said, no her vision is fine with glasses, and each eye sees fine with glasses with the other one covered, and that she has a learning disability. She is not disruptive in class, she applies herself, she tries...im so frustrated, so tomorrow i take her in to her guidance counselor to see if we can get her tested...has anyone else been thru anything like this?
