Vision therapy has been around in various forms for quite some time. Although it isn't a widely recognized or supported form of treatment, it has been at least somewhat effective for certain subjects. My own professional belief is that visual therapy probably can be helpful for children who really are experiencing true visual/perceptual processing difficulties. Unfortunately, most children with reading problems (including reversals) DO NOT have visual/perceptual processing problems but are actually experiencing generalized sequential processing difficulty or possibly even auditory or language-based processing issues. These children would not likely benefit a great deal from visual therapy. Children with real visual processing weakness typically struggle more with math and spelling than with reading. So I'm not sure visual therapy is really the right choice for your daughter. But if they would be willing to offer a money-back guarantee, it might be worth a try
