It appears you may have misunderstood both the original question and my response. The question was posed by someone who has never been identified with any kind of learning disability and is simply wondering if such a diagnosis could be made at this time. As a professional psychologist who has diagnosed thousands of children and adolescents with various types of learning disabilities, I was merely pointing out that it is extremely difficult (if not impossible) to accurately make such a diagnosis in an adult who has been out of the educational system for many years.
