Re: Dysgraphia , the student, and ESE
I need help! My eight year old son is having trouble in school. He refuses to copy work off the board and when he does it looks like a 3-year old wrote it. The teacher is at her wits end with him. She thinks that he is just being lazy and that he can't be bothered. I've tried everything to try to explain to him that he has to do his work and thought maybe that he is just being stubborn. His printing is very messy. Leteers are different sizes, he doesn't use capitols or punctuation. He is very smart and is one of the top readers in his class. He is actually above average. I just thought that because he is a left-hander that that is why his printing is so messy. He hates to draw and colour anything. I met a man who has twins that have dysgraphia and he told me to check it out. this sounds pretty familiar. I don't know what to do? Should I take him to our doctor or am I just wasting my time?help
