My daughter was considered a very gifted student in elementary school. At the end of Jr. Hi and in high school seemed to become less and less interested in school. She enjoyed the social activities in high school such as band, majorette, etc. College has been difficult for her. She has been reading about ADD and ADHD. She believes that she has stong symptoms of ADD. If an adult is diagnosed with ADD, does that mean that the individual has ALWAYS been ADD/ADHD or can this disorder develop at different points in a person's life. My son was diagnosed with ADHD as a young child and received and independant educational program that worked well for him through school. At this point it is though he has grown out of it. I guess my question is if a person is ADD/ADHD, are they always and/or always have been?
